Lovely 3-bed house in the woods by a national park

“We spent a lovely 6 days in the guesthouse, in the wood that is the garden! It is very secluded and a joy to walk around. I especially enjoyed walking our dogs along the drive in the early morning. The house is as described and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The lounge is spacious with great views to the back garden. Cheryl and Jean-Michel are charming. The area is beautiful, breathtaking, in fact, from the walks above the property to the countryside around Aix. We drove around Mont Sainte Victoire, did the Route des Vins and explored Aix. The highlight of the sightseeing for us was the Atelier de Cézanne and the Terrain des Peintres. So much atmosphere and very emotional. We would definitely recommend the Guesthouse and would love to return there. Thank you so much.”

“Wow, wow, wow! Cheryl en Jean-Michel's guesthouse is all you could ever hope for. Spacious, well equipped and situated in the hilly outskirts of the lovely city of Aix-en-Provence. Eventhough it is on the same property as their actual home, it feels private and peaceful and it's very well equipped for kids, also because we were welcome to use the play area, trampoline and amazing pool Besides having a fantastic accommodation, Cheryl and Jean-Michel were very hospitable and even welcomed us to their own home for.lunch when the returned from our own home in Amsterdam. We were even allowed to use their car! Loved every second of our stay here!”

“We loved our time in Cheryl and Michell’s guesthouse and in Aix. Very cozy house. The terrace has a nice view to the nature-like garden. You feel completely at peace, when you stay here. The best part is the lovely saltwater pool and the short distance to the city center of Aix en Provence. It was very hot when we visited in August, so we used the pool a lot! So lovely. The city of Aix is amazing. There are many small scenic walking streets with cafes, shops and galleries. Aix also has an amazing scent from all the shops with soaps, perfumes, cakes and coffee. Try the local nougat – it is divine! Cheryl was also very helpful with giving us a guide to the areas best restaurants and beaches. All in all a very lovely stay – and we can definitely recommend house swapping with Cheryl and Michell – they took excellent care of our house too. ”

“What a lovely week we had at Cheryl and Jean-Michel's holiday house. It is a romantic space and nice and cool in the heat of the summer. Everything very clean and nicely kitted out. Little covered area for eating outside. The salt water pool was very refreshing and no stingy chlorine. My three old learned to swim his first few strokes above the water in this pool so that will be a memory to treasure! The kids played outside exploring the foresty garden and loved the new play ground. From the garden you can walk along a quiet road to the edge of the forest. We borrowed two off road buggies for this which was really useful! Cheryl and Jean-Michel were lovely hosts and extremely helpful. We had lots of useful info about the local area and Cheryl had gone to some trouble to get what we would need for two small children. Aix is so pretty and everyone we met was very relaxed and friendly...also very patient with our varying degrees of French! We also visited Avignon which is stunning. I am still pining for 30 degrees in the shade and pool to cool off in! Thanks for a wonderful week! ”
