About our home

Our studio flat is on the 1st floor of an old priory. It overlooks a courtyard garden and it is a very peaceful location even though it is in the centre of the charming market town of Amboise. There is a main room with a fold up double bed and a sofa bed (suitable for a child). There is a separate fully equipped kitchenette and a shower room.

More about us

  1. My partner Roger and I are in our early sixties - I am English and Roger is French. We have been living in Amboise for six years and are still discovering this beautiful region. We love travelling abroad. The studio flat is our second home and is just a 5 minute walk from our main home. This means it is very easy for us to do non-simultaneous exchanges. We have now done several exchanges and have found the system to work really well. We have also exchanged the flat with a camper van and would be interested in renewing this experience.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Located between the towns of Tours and Blois on the Loire river it is an ideal base for visiting the famous Loire chateaux: Amboise, the Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci's last home),Chenonceau, Cheverny, Chaumont, Blois etc. This is a wine-growing region and there are many cellars to visit and wines to taste. The Loire river is a UNESCO national heritage site. It is possible to go canoeing and the 'Loire à velo' cycle trail goes from Amboise to the sea. www.amboise-valdeloire.com
