It is built on 3 storeys: lounge and dining room with oak woodden floors and high ceilings /sunroom and kitchen on level 1, master bedroom (queen size bed), study and bathroom on level 2 / 2 carpetted bedrooms and a small bathroom on level 3. Laundry and cellar in the basement. The house has been regularly renovated, is very clean and offers all modern appliances.

More about us

  1. Jean-Pierre, my husband is 63 and used to be a roof slater: he enjoys playing tennis, reading, discussing news and politics. I am 56 and just retired from teaching English in Angers College of Agriculture. I love swimming, hiking, cycling, reading. We both go to the cinema a lot. We enjoy travelling (China, Malaysia, USA (home exchange)and Europe, of course. We lived in Sydney Australia for 4 years in the 1980's and 2 of our 3 children live in Australia now. We love Australia and fly DownUnder as often as we can. We take great care of our house and would take great care of yours!

Where is it?

You will be able to walk across parks and gardens all the way to the city centre and to the Saturday farmers market (10 mn) . We live in a quiet residential street but not far from the rail tracks so we can hear the trains a little. We have 2 bicycles you can use to cycle along the river Loire or anywhere around Angers: there are lots of cycling tracks along the many rivers and country paths. Angers is only 1 and a half hour from Paris on the TGV (fast train) and easy reach to all main French cities by train (fast train to London as well). It's only one hour drive to La Baule or Pornic, the closest sea resorts on the Atlanctic sea. And, of course, Angers is the perfect place to start from for day trips to go and visit most Loire castles or to go wine tasting.
