About our home

We offer a 110m2 house witch is approved by "Gites de France". The house was renoved in 2001. The ground floor has a bright kitchen opened to the dining-room, a bedroom (2singlebeds), a bathroom and a WC. The first floor has 2 bedrooms (4 singlebeds and a babybed), a lounge in mezzanine, a bathroom with WC. The house is near ours. It has an east-west aspect. The land's area is 4200 m2 for the two houses, with plants, flowers and trees. Summer is generally hot and we stay outside.

  1. We are Robert and Maryvonne, a couple in our early fiftees. We have two beautiful children. Clara is 14 years old and Alois is 11. Robert is touristic guide. He was born in Switzerland, in Basel. Maryvonne is social worker. We can write in English but we don't speak well. However we can received you and Robert can help you for Burgundy discovery. We have two cats.We like swimming and walking. We like to visit archeoligics sites and we are keen to learn others habits..

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Five family live in the hamlet.The village is at 2 minutes and Auxerre at 10 minutes.We are in Paris at less then 2 hours. It's posible to go to Paris with car then train. Burgundy, our area, has an abondant cultural heritage with Auxerre : Saint-Etienne cathedral (11th-16th centuries) and the celebrated mural painting of Christ on horseback,Saint-Germain Abbey (9th-18th centuries)and his 9th century crypts where is the oldest mural paintings discovered in France to date, Vezelay, Pontigny,.... Several castles are worth the détour, Saint-Fargeau, Ratilly , Maulnes.... Some places of interest are very famous: Guédelon with the construction of a médiéval castle or the grottos of Arcy-sur-Cure. Our burgundy vineyards (Chablis, Irancy) and our gastronomy are universally knowned. Estivals animations, concerts and festivals ensure your of the convivial evenings. For teenagers, ther are parks aventure. The golf of Roncemay is 12 km from us.
