About our home

Our home is a house built in 2000, 1100 square feet, with 3 double bedrooms and one bathroom. A large living room overlooks a terrace which looks onto a quiet garden, 8100 sq. feet, with a swimming-pool built in 2009. During the evening, you can feel comfortable sitting in the garden, looking at stars in the sky.

More about us

  1. My name is Magalie and my husband Pierre-Antoine. We are 30 years old. We have no children. Pierre-Antoine is an environmental engineer, he works in the industry, and I am a paediatric nurse in the Avignon hospital. We love doing sport (mountain biking, running, skiing, tennis) and also appreciate art and culture. We would like our parents (4 persons, Pierre-Antoine’s parents are retired and were working in a bank and were teacher; my parents are still working, my mother is a secretary and my father is an engineer) to discover the USA and the American culture. We cook our own jam and I do appreciate good wine and authentic winemakers. This would be our first exchange.

Neighbourhood

We live in Villeneuve les Avignon, an authentic typical Provencal village, situated at 2 miles from Avignon, well-known for its "Palais des Papes", its annual Festival of Theatre in July and, its famous Bridge. Avignon and Villeneuve are very proud of their medieval history (museums, churches, castle, Palais des Papes, famous bridge ...).There are many facilities around (supermarket, shops, cash machine, restaurants, bus stop). A bus (every 20 minute) can drive you to the historic center of Avignon in 15 minutes. The village is also situated at 12 miles from Chateauneuf du Pape (well-known for its famous red wine), 50 miles from the Mediterranean sea (Marseille and La Camargue), 13 miles from the «Pont du Gard », less than 30 miles from Nîmes (Arenas) Les Baux de Provence, Le Luberon, Les Gorges de l'Ardèche, the "Mont Ventoux" whose climb is one of the most beautiful excursions of Provence (great panorama). We are very near famous vineyards: Chateuneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras or Tavel.Have a look to: www.avignon-tourisme.comwww.pontdugard.fr www.vins-rhone-tourisme.comwww.tourisme-villeneuvelezavignon.fr
