About our home

We live in a beautiful typical provençal house built in 1900 but totally renoved some years ago in a modern style. We so enjoy design interior with all the functionnalities. We also enjoy our half-sunny half-shaded garden during the summer that is pretty warm here. The area is quiet and offers a real rest. The big swimming pool offers a warm water from may to september thanks to solar energy. It is also safe thanks to an electric cover really easy to open and close quickly.
In wintertime the house is sunny thanks to the large windows. But we also apreciate our fireplace and the warness it affords.

More about us

We're a French family of 5. We are both doctors and have 3 sons(16, 14 and 8 years old). We love travelling and discovering others cultures. This is the third time we've been trying Home For Exchange. And this has already led us to nice experiences...

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The landscape around is very beautiful and sunny. We are located at 8 km from St Remy de Provence and the Alpilles that are very famous(typical villages to discover (http://www.alpilles.com/) - with traditionnal celebrates- and numerous possibilities of walks). About 20 minuts from home, you can find the famous Luberon and others provencal villages. The main town is Avignon (12 km) that is a beautiful and wonderful cultural city that welcomes a big theater festival in july (http://www.ot-avignon.fr/) . Without forgetting the numerous gallo-roman vestiges (Arles, Nimes, Orange...). So there is much to discover all around. But if you want more Marseilles and Montpellier (and the sea) are about 1 hour from home (with the car). You will discover the beautiful Mediterranée. With the train from Avignon we can join Paris in 2h30 and every other part of France. (Spain and Italy are also not really far...)
