About our home

A great place to be in central - but quiet - Bordeaux! This classic flat on the 1st floor of a 1850 building offers 2 bedrooms, one (26 sqm) with a large bed (futon) and the second (13 sqm) with a one-person bed. Close to the (small but renovated and well furnished) kitchen, the dining room is a nice place to stay when it's warm outside in summer. Hight ceilings (3,80 meters) and marquetry floors!

A bit more comfortable than it was in the time of Napoleon III, but not so much. Bathroom with a bath-tub ; separate toilets. Only 2 friendly neighbours in the building.

More about us

  1. My daughter Joséphine (13) and I (57), we love travels and cats. Still working as engineer in an university, I'm wondering when it will stop!

When travelling, my interest goes to architecture (Richard Neutra, Mies van der Rohe, usw.), gastronomy, wasting time.

We will take care of your home, your cats, of everything...

Where is it?

My apartment is in a very desirable area just off Place Gambetta & the "Grand Théâtre". It's only 10 minutes walking to the historical centre of Bordeaux... Many wines boutiques are practically on your doorstep as well as excellent restaurants, shops, café, and just a 5 minute walk from Tram and buses to the ocean (Arcachon, Cap Ferret). With 500 km cycling tracks, Gironde is one of France's leading cycling destinations.

If interested by great Bordeaux wines have a look here: http://www.bordeaux-tourisme.com/images/pdf/bordeaux_le_vin_la_ville_-_chateaux.pdf

From Paris to Bordeaux, it takes 3 hours by "TGV" (Train à Grande Vitesse) or 1h10 by plane (a bus will drive you directly to the apartment).
