“The apartment of Gisele is cosy, close to center, and what say of the beautiful landscape from the bedroom! We arrived at about 2 a.m., tired and almost asleep, but stayed for a long time like babies looking at the Gothic church beautifully illuminated in the night sky full of stars. Sorry, Gisele, if we didn't drink the bottle of Bordeaux wine waiting for us... We don't drink alcohol... Thank you Gisele and Guy, we enjoyed your beautiful city and hope to meet you in the future! Marisa & Dario”
“This summer we had a very successful home swap with Gisèle and Guy from Bordeaux. The flat is lovely situated in the heart of the historic quarter "des Chartrons". Even while lying in bed we could enjoy a beautiful view on the Church "Saint-Luis", which is iluminated by night. Don't be afraid the light could disturb your sleep - you can close the shutters. Bordeaux is the city of wine with interesting tours into the wineries around organised by the tourist office. We also spend a great day in the "sahara of France", on the huge Dune de Pyla. Gisèle and Guy were both: Caring hosts and guests. We were in email contact long before and throughout the home swap. In our home in Berlin they were surprised by workers, who came earlier than appointed. Giséle and Guy were very flexible and thoughtful about protecting everything - thank you again!”
Grazie Giséle e Guy a presto....”
“Our stay in Gisele & Guy apartment was excellent. The apartment is very romantic , clean, silent and at walking distance of City center. Bus and Bicycles at 20 meters. Bordeaux is a nice city with good free museums and streets with life. We visited also Arcachon about 60 km from Bordeaux , near the sea, with beautiful houses...but what we most enjoyed was the Dune de Pyla the great dune in Europe...is really good to spend some time walking in the sand with beautiful views. Gisele received us very well and everything was ok.”
“My wife Iryna and I had an amazing time during our very first home exchange, to Bordeaux, France. Gisele and Guy were the ideal exchange partners, assisting us with a wide range of questions that we had during our planning of the trip. Their home was perfectly located to get around the best parts of Bordeaux, either on foot or by tram. Their neighborhood is vintage France, full of cafes and shops with the best food and wine, and a perfect city park just down the road. The flat was cozy, quiet, and very well-appointed. Before returning to the US we spent a wonderful evening with Guy and Gisele and now consider them our friends. Bordeaux is a wonderful, charming city. Not knowing French, we were a bit apprehensive about how locals would respond to us, but as long as we made a sincere effort people went out of their way to be helpful and friendly time and time again. Bordeaux is a a walkable treasure of historically interesting architecture and fun places to visit, surrounded by the legendary wine country and the Atlantic Ocean is less than an hour's drive. We highly recommend Bordeaux and our friends Gisele and Guy, even at the risk of not keeping this treasure to ourselves!!!”
