About our home

Our home is located near a typical "provençal" village perched over a valley with olive trees. Saint Cézaire-sur-Siagne (2.500 inhabitants) is provided with main shops and runs a famous local market with fresh food twice a week. You can go by car (2 minutes), or bike (10 minutes). We have a garden with old trees, hamac, ping-pong, a terrific trampollin and a swimming pool for your children. The house is a comfortable and charming place, with old "provençal" tiles and floor. It is only 15 km from GRASSE, known for its traditional perfume industry, 30 km from CANNES, and just 1H from NICE International Airport. Being located in the hinterland, Saint Cézaire is a quiet and resful place, but you may also appreciate the lively mediterranean coast, within 45 minutes drive.

More about us

  1. I am 46 and i teach French litterature at the Lycée (college) of GRASSE. My husband, Jean-Pierre, 63, is a commercial manager in the perfume business, now semi-retired. Our son Emile is 11 and has just started to learn english. The three of us are very keen on music and travelling. Chloé, 29, (featuring on one of the above pictures) is Jean Pierre's elder daugther, currently studying ethnology at Nice university. She lives in a separate studio in the garden and will be there for a hand if needed (she speaks fluent english and knows everything about the house). Our 2 cats only need to be fed (they use to come in and out the catflap). We also have an adorable 5 years old female labrador, an excellent companion who loves children and won't follow anyone in the pool (a chance she hates it!)

Where is it?

A couple of neighbouring families live in our no through road called "Impasse des Amandiers". They are discreet and gentle people, always ready to give a hand in case of necessity. Further north in the hinterland, you can hike in the pre-Alps mountains (there is a small skiing resort nearby in the winter), or walk to the Siagne river (down in the valley). There are a number of old typical villages to visit around St Cézaire. If you fancy more attractions, you will also enjoy the French Riviera with its numerous beach resorts and historical towns(CANNES, ANTIBE's jazz summer festival, NICE, MONACO...).
