About our home

NON SIMULTANEOUS SWAPS AND RENTALS POSSIBLE - Etoile du Sud is a comfortable villa in the village of Callas about an hour west of Nice in the Cote d'Azur/Var region in the South of France. It Is set in nearly two acres of Olive grove with the most wonderful views of the village and the Maures hills. Unlike many holiday villas our is well equipped. Some internal photos will be added soon, my computer seems to have temporarily decided to hide them! The villa is an hour from Nice Airport and an easy 15 minute drive from the motorway where enroute you'll pass endless wine domains all selling fantastic provencal wine most of which the french keep for themselves as opposed to exporting it! The south of France for most of the year has stunning blue skies. It's hot in summer with cooler temperatures between late October and early April. We rent the villa by the week during the summer. www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/etoile There are ski resorts such as Isola 2000 in the Southern French Alps in under 2 hours away. The closest large town is Draguignan about a 15 minute drive. Our main home is in Walton on Thames in the UK so if a longer swap on the right dates then could include both homes

Refundable Security Deposit of £500 required if not a swap

More about us

  1. We're a couple in our 50's with no children and love nothing better than to be travelling. Our best time for exchange is December/January. During our summer months it's usually quite difficult for us to take more than a week or 10 days.

  2. We both work in TV production. We enjoy our rugby immensely and support the Harlequins club in London. When travelling we prefer the outdoors to museums. We like comfort but in natural surroundings as opposed to built up areas but not totally remote so we can't experience local restaurants and meet the local people.

  3. We take pride in both our homes so we would look after yours as we would our own. The UK home was completely renovated and extended in 2009 and the same with our villa in the South of France. We can do non-consecutive exchanges with our french home.
