Neighbourhood

This apartment building is in the perfect location, just off Place Charles de Gaulle, with its picturesque fountain, and sandwiched between Rue Bivouac Napolean and the world famous shopping street of Rue D’Antibes. The Croisette, the beaches and the red-carpetted steps of the Palais des Festivals are just a hundred metres away.

Rue Bivouac Napolean – where Napolean himself 'bivouaced' (camped) in 1815 - is now one of the most popular streets in Cannes, boasting chic restaurants, bars, banks, ATMs, a post office, an English-language bookshop, an Irish pub, ice-cream parlour and patisserie. The ground floor of the building houses an excellent local restaurant, Dauphin.

On Rue d'Antibes, the main shopping street in Cannes, you will find major retailers such as Fnac, Sephora, Zara, Mango, Esprit, Madura, Diesel, Darty, Kenzo and designers like MaxMara, Agnes B and Missoni among other shops that sell perfume and jewellery and pastries.

Bit of culture
The Lérins Islands - Île Sainte-Marguerite and Île Saint-Honorat, first inhabited during Roman times. The Île de Saint-Honorat bears the name of the founder of the monastery of Lérins, Saint Honoratus. It was founded around the year 410. It is in this monastery that Saint Porcarius lived and probably was killed during an invasion by Saracens. According to tradition, Saint Patrick, patron of Ireland, studied there in the fifth century. A fortified monastery was built between the eleventh and fourteenth centuries. In 1047 the islands were raided by Muslim Andalusi pirates. The monastic community today lives in a monastery built during the nineteenth century. The Île Sainte-Marguerite held a fortress where the Man in the Iron Mask was held captive for a time.
Walks in the park
The national park of Croix-des-Gardes overlooks the Cannes seaside - a 200-acre public space of trails and hikes, which culminate in a giant cross at the highest point. Also, don't miss taking a trip to Cannes’ Marché Forville to try the local produce (olives, meats, seafood and more).
Spot of exercise
Swim in the warm waters of the Med; walk, run or cycle the Croisette; or canoe to the islands - the choice is yours...
Day tripping
Nice, Antibes, Juan Le Pins and Mougins are all within easy reach
