About our home

Our house was built in the 1800's stone outside walls but inside decorated to a high standard. Each bedroom is themed and it has a large catering stainless steel kitchen. view the website to look at the rooms. We have three cats which will need loving and feeding.

More about us

We are a family of three living in France. Myself - Margaret, my husband Jeffrey and Clara our daughter who attends school in Carcassonne. We love the friendliness of this area, the good food, the sunshine, swimming, cycling, walking and Clara loves artwork and her horse riding. My husband loves to ride his motorbikes especially around the mountains and gorges in this area. In the winter we visit the mountains for skiing and sledging. We want to return to England for a short spell and need a family to housesit and feed our cats.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are in the beautiful village of st hilaire, a few metres from the abbaye, 1 hr from the mediterrean beaches, 2 hrs from skiing, good for cycling, walking, horse riding and motorcyling. Lots of historial sites and castles to visit including the medieval citie of carcassonne where robin hood prince of thieves was filmed. Good wine area and famous for it's blanquette. (the pre runner of champagne). We are also near thermal spa swimming baths and the pyrenees.
