About our home

This 250 yr old little farm house on 3000m2 of beautifull garden is completely renovated with all old style features intact, like a big fireplace and the old stable which is used for outside dining and relaxing and it's located on the westside of the premises so most of the time we stay there to watch the sun set with a good glass of chablis or champagne. The kitchen is semi-professional so we can fully enjoy all the good things the french soil has to offer.
The bedroom is on the second floor 35m2 and a mix between old and new with a window on the east so in the morning the rising sun is gently waking you up. The bathroom is small but comfortable and efficient with a tropical rain shower to wash away the morning mist in your head.

More about us

We are Barbara, Joost and our daughter Claire. Claire and I are going on vacation to the USA from 30/6/7 to 20/7/7 from Amsterdam to New York and after New York to San Fransico and LA. I'm a Captain of deep sea vessels and now working as a cargo superintendant in the HQ in Rotterdam, Barbara is professor in Psychology and Claire is just admitted to the Willem de Koning Academie of Arts in Rotterdam.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

It's in the middle of the most fantastic wine areas like Chablis and Champagne. The people from Bourgogne are famous for their cuisine and wines. It's only 20 miles from chablis 15 miles from Champagne winery's and 100 miles from Paris(about 1.5 hrs to the centre of the city).
In the city of Troyes (30 miles distance )there are the biggest outlet stores of Europe with all big fashion labels in abundance at remarkable attractive prices. Around the house there are forrests and old villages. The nightlife in troyes is good and in Paris extraordinary.
There are 2 mountain bikes available but for visiting the mayor cities one needs a car.
