More about us

  1. We are an open minded French/English couple with one 6 year old. We love travelling and would like to share our passion for visiting other countries with our child. We are in our early 40's and have lived and worked in California/Australia and we have now settled down in France where we both work as teachers. Our lifestyle is country walks, family bike rides, trips back to England, visiting and having friends over, swimming and picnics, skiing, playing the piano. We are non smokers and lead a fairly healthy lifestyle in keeping with our environment.
We do have a cat, Churchill, also very open minded, his lifestyle is fairly garden/nature oriented and he too enjoys this part of the world as much as we do!

Where is it?

We live just outside a small village at the foot of the French alps. The village although small has all the facilities for everyday life, post office, butchers, bakers, cafes, newsagents, banks and a lovely typical french market twice a week for fresh produce including lots of local specialities. Close by, (5 minutes) is a beautiful unspoilt lake which is great for swimming in the summer and has some nice little beaches for picnics. We are an hour away from Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon aeroports and our nearest town is Chambery, the capital of the Savoie department a 15 minute drive. Aix les bains with the lac du Bourget is 20 minutes, Annecy is 35 minutes drive. There is lots to do in the area and it's great for nature and mountain lovers.
