About our home
*Please note: We are not accepting more point, only classic swaps. Our home in Chamonix France is nestled against miles of cross country ski trails and majestic mountains, just a short walk to the famous Grands Montets ski area. It has a large garden for playing in the snow in the winter, or barbecues in the summer. A large wood-burning fireplace and authentic Savoyard charm make you feel you are really away from it all. Yet you don’t need a car- restaurants, bars, buses and the local tourist train are all a short walk from the chalet. There are 5 bedrooms plus extra sleeping areas for kids or a convertible sofa as well. There is a bathroom in the master bed with a bath, another bathroom with a bath, and a guest toilet. Additionally, for bigger groups or those wanting access to extra space and a shower room, there is a lovely attached fully furnished 1 1/2 bedroom apartment with a new kitchen, shower and sleeping for 5. The apartment is available for an extra 100 points per night.

We’re an American/Swiss couple living in Geneva with three boys, ages 10, 14 and 16.

Damien makes documentary films and Kristy is a former lawyer turned teacher of kids with special learning needs. We both work in Geneva but spend weekends and any other free days in Chamonix!

We love the mountains and spend as much time as we can at our home in Chamonix, but we also love to travel!

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
We are in the authentic Savoyard village of Argentiere, located at 1300m altitude with views of the Mont Blanc and the glacier of Argentiere. The village has a grocery store, restaurants, bars, and a tiny train station for the touristic train that runs through the valley. You can walk throughout the village. For those desiring to ski other areas in the Valley (Le Tour, Flegere, Brevent, Les Houches, and Vallorcine) or to go into Chamonix for for shopping and nightlife, the train and bus stop are an easy walk from the chalet. We are 15 minutes by car to the centre of Chamonix.
