About our home

This chalet was built as a holiday home in the late 1950's (an extension was added around 1976) when my grandparents fell in love with this beautiful site.
The wood -lined walls and warm colors make it a nice and welcoming house to stay in. There are two floors, 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with 2 beds, see photos). There is a washing machine in the garage and a terrace with a view of the mountain range.

More about us

  1. My name is Nathalie, I'm 51 years old and I live in Grenoble, France.where I teach English to students preparing to take the competitive exams into the French business schools. I have a 22-year-old daughter who is currently finishing her studies in media in Paris. I am very interested in travelling to English-speaking countries, the USA, Great Britain, but also Europe and Asia.
I am both curious and eager to discover new people, places and lifestyles and maybe make new friends as well into the bargain !
I have been in several exchanges already (San Francisco, Prague, Santa Fe, Washington DC, Budapest, Boston ) and I look forward to repeating this great experience.

Neighbourhood

The chalet is located a short distance (10 minutes' drive) from the little town of Chamonix, in the same valley. The view from the terrace is really sublime : we face the "Aiguille du Midi", the Bossons glacier (our very own!)and the rest of the Mont Blanc range. The neighborhood is made up of other chalets (no apartment buildings around) and the forest is 5 minutes away. There are many nice walks to take in the area, for all ages and physical conditions. In and around Chamonix, many activities are available: a big swimming-pool with a view on the mountain range, golf, paragliding ...
