Jean-Francois's reviews
As a host (7)“We had a wonderful time! Enjoyed the house, the neighborhood, it's proximity to the places we wanted to go. Our hosts were very attentive. Jan and Dave”
“We fell in love with the town of Clecy and La Pelleterie! It was the most beautiful countryside I think I’ve ever seen. La Pelleterie was very spacious, clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The small town was very picturesque and we enjoyed all of the outdoor activities near the River. We liked how you were able to walk to the village and river area as well. We definitely want to return and I highly recommend staying here!”
“We loved our stay in this beautiful very historic house. The area is really beautiful and we did many drives in every direction to see a lot of Normandy. It is a very good area for people. who want to be active and their are nice walking/cycling trails along the river. The hosts were very easy to deal with and provided great helpful information. The kitchen was well equipped although we mostly ate out. Thank you, Druanne”
“We stayed in this stunning converted barn for three days on our way home from southern France. It is quite simply breathtaking in the style and attention to detail that the owners have created a minimalist ambience yet fused this with authentic local materials to create a wonderful ambience. The master bedroom was delightful with a huge ensuites bathroom ( only small negative poorly place electric plugs in bedroom) The indoor pool was perfect and we finished our days eating al fresco in the garden the only sounds were the birds and cattle baying in the distance We wished we had stayed the whole vacation here and missed the south of France A day at Le Mont Saint Michel was fascinating and the stop on the way home at a local hostelry to eat moules and frites ended a perfect day. The local area is perfect to explore the history and culture of the area. I must mention the welcome we were given by the meet and greet lady who had a smile, wider than the English Chanel and although her English is minimal , like the style of the interior decor, the effect was the same as we felt completely at home after she showed us how everything worked and presented us with a free bottle of the local rose cider. Well done Jean-Francois and your lovely wife for creating this little piece of paradise and allowing us to share it for a few days ”
“Jean Francois & Dominique's vacation home in Normandy was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful remote location yet close to convenience of restaurants & grocery stores. The house is very well equipped with modern facilities and tastefully decorated. It's located close to Mont Saint Michel, Rouen, Deauvill, Honfleur, and many beautiful French towns and has lots to explore. Loved the house and always want to go back! Thank you Dominique & Jean Francois!!”
“We had an amazing stay in this stunning farm conversion. The location is ideal, near a gorgeous little town with all the necessities (artisan bakery, butcher, deli, pharmacy). The house is striking with large rooms, tall windows, spacious and well-appointed bathrooms and a luxurious kitchen with all the amenities. Everything has been thought through and well-executed. It is a haven of peace yet, not far from 'civilisation.' We toured the area extensively and enjoyed the local food and culture. We were very well looked after by a local couple living in a nearby town. Our stay was in February so we did not enjoy the pool but there was plenty to do and see (and the weather was sunny) to make the trip very enjoyable. Thank you, Jean-Francois and Dominique for giving us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful holiday home!”
