More about us

  1. We are a married couple with two boys aged 17 and 12. We are both working (Health care manager and secretary) and love to travel. We are hoping to organise an exchange for a home somewhere in Europe, beside the sea but not too hot during the Summer months. Our apartment is a holiday apartment so we are very flexible with respect to exchange periods. We are however, restricted to school holiday periods. We will look after your home very well and will leave it as we find it.

Where is it?

We're sure you'll love Collioure. It is a delightful and evocative seaside town at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is known as 'The Gem of the Roussillon'. The town is situated approx 12km from the Spanish boarder and 35km from Perpignan. In Collioure the Chateau and church are well worth a visit. The town is overlooked by a windmill and Fort St Elme which are nestled in rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves. When you wander through the beautiful narrow pedestrianised streets, you will notice many artists who visit Collioure to paint and sculpt. Matisse, Picasso and Derain are three of its more famous past residents. You can enjoy the cafés, bars, art and craft shops, waterports and hill walking. In the winter months skiing is fantastic in Font Romeau and Pyreneese 2000, both are just one and a half hours drive by car. There are 4 beaches in Collioure and the marine life is spectacular. It's amazing standing in the sea watching fish swim close to your feet. The town retains the character and charm of a Catalan fishing town. There are excellent train and bus facilities from the town. Places to see include: Céret, Perpignan, Villefranche-de-Conflent, Castlenou and more. Our nearest airports are Girona, Perpignan, and Carcassonne. There's something for everyone - young and old! Anyone with the Joie de Vivre!
