About our home

Our country home is a renovated XVIIIth century typical Normandy house. It is situated at the end of a country road, with woods all around the house, except for the North side, which opens on the apple orchard, woods, the roofs of Houlgate, and the sea. While perfectly quiet, it is only 1,2 mile from the center of Dives, 2,5 miles from the Grand Hotel of Cabourg, 125 miles from our apartment in Paris (ID = 7614), which is also available during the exchange. A car is needed if you are not a hiker. We could lend ours.

We would like to spend up to three week in New York in late August beginning of September.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Dives is the mediaeval city from which William the Conqueror sailed to conquer England. Nobody knows why, since the English keep coming back. Cabourg is the place where Proust wrote. Everything is worth seeing in the area. D Day beaches a 40 mn drive, Mont Saint-Michel 1h30. New York is a home exchange away.
