About our home

Our house is rather old since it has been built in 1830. It is a typical "maison de maitre" and is made of the local type of stone called "pierre de caen". Downstairs we have the dining room, the kitchen and the living room with a fireplace and everything for a modern family (TV, music.....). Upstairs (on two levels) we have four bedrooms (two singles and two doubles), three bathrooms, and an open place with a PC, desk and additional couch. The attic is on the third floor.
The house is surrounded by a large garden (17000 square feet) where children can play and where you can have meal and use our barbecue.

Features

More about us

  1. We are two adultes (Régis and Isabelle) and two children: Tristan (16 years old) and Arthur (8 years old). The two of us are engineers.
We like to play tennis. The small one plays football and practises judo. The older one plays guitar.

We have never exchanged our house but we have rented several times properties from other French Families and our boys are used to respect other places.

We can exchange our car ( a big family one) if needed.

Neighbourhood

This place is located between Caen (15km) and the sea (around 3 km). You are surrounded by typical countryside from Normandie: very green and quiet. It is a mix of old villages, farms and modern houses.
From our house, you can walk to a "boulangerie" and drive (2 km) to a place where you can find small shops or supermarket.
Closed touristic places are Omaha beach, Bayeux, Deauville, Honfleur, Mont Saint-Michel or you take a boat to Jersey/Guernesey.
You are located 5 minutes drive from sea (Luc sur mer) and 2 hours drive from Paris.
