About our home

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR HOUSE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER 2010. Our house is a Basque style home built in the 1960's and recently renovated. We have 3 bedrooms - main, spare & child's, 1 bathroom with bath, seperate toilets, lounge/dinning room, an open kitchen & a family room. We are on a large block (+/ 1000 m²) with a nice garden - no neighbours behind us - just a field with either sheep, horses or hay (depends on the season). We also have a view on the "La Rhune" mountain from our back room. Our house is very peaceful & deserves a visit !

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live in a charming litte Basque village - Espelette (known for its peppers!) - Thanks to a small path we are a short walk to the centre of the village. Espelette is 7 km from Spain, 25 km to Biarritz & Bayonne & St Jean de Luz. You can therefore easily visit the mountains, beaches & do a bit of cultural visiting. If you wanted to go to Spain - St Sebastian is only a 40 mins drive & if you wanted to push it a bit further there is always Bilbao. The weather can be very nice in October (sometimes up to 25°c!!!)
