Neighbourhood

Very conveniently located near Geneva, right at the Swiss/French border, in the small French town Ferney-Voltaire. The apartment is one block from the château de Voltaire, walking distance from shops and market. A very famous outdoor market is held every Saturday. It is very easily accessible with higway, Geneva rail station and airport only minutes away. The area offers a vibrant cultural life, international dining, and many opportunities for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. You can go on your own or join a wonderful local organisation (English spoken) that takes you to the most beautiful sites. It caters to all hiking experiences and that is how I discovered treasures in the french or swiss Alps and Jura mountains.
