SORRY - WE ARE NOT DOING SWAPS IN 2020.
Mas de Flaux, lies on the edge of a pretty village in the countryside and a very short drive from the centre of Uzes. This lovely old Mas, 365m2, once a wine makers property, has been cleverly renovated retaining the original character of the property: old stone walls, voutins, oak beams and even the press and wine vats.
Large and airy reception rooms open on the courtyard and gardens including the living room and a fabulous high ceilinged salon of 72m2 with large stone fireplace and Provencal ceiling. Beautiful fully equipped oak wood kitchen, pantry/laundry room.
4 bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms, plus 2 more bathrooms.
NOT AVAILABLE FOR SWAP SUMMER 2020
The garden of 1900m2 is fully enclosed and beautifully planted with large swimming pool of 11 x 6 meters.

We are a couple who retired early. We moved from Ireland to France in 2009 and renovated an old Mas to a high standard.
Norman worked in Project Management Internationally and Maura had her own clothing business..
We love walking, cooking, investigating new location and cultures. We like music and all things equestrian.
Our Mas is 7 mins from Uzès, which is a small town in the Gard department, north of Nîmes, with a history dating from Roman times. Uzes has been referred to as 'Little Paris' with its chique shops, cafe's and excellent restaurants. The circular streets around the historical center were once walls that protected the Medieval castle in the 11th and 12th centuries. We are located amidst the garrigue hills and valleys. The Uzes market (Wednesday and Saturday) has recently won 'best French market' and is one of the largest outdoor markets in France, including local Provencal products, clothing, and crafts.
Attractions nearby :
At La Cocaliere (between St-Ambroix and St-Paul-le-Jeune) you can visit one of the most impressive cave systems in France which includes both spectacular rock formations and evidence of prehistoric habitation.
Other popular attractions include the water park in a lovely natural setting at Bouscarasse (along the road towards Alès); the Museum of 1900 and Toys at Arpaillargues (east); and the Haribo Museum, which celebrates 100 years of the most popular sweet manufacturer in France - one for the children!
The Pont du Gard is a famous Roman aqueduct to the south-east of the town, and there are several villages to explore in the region: our favourites are Lussan to the north and Saint-Victor-la-Coste and Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres to the north-east.
