About our home

My house is set in the heart of the Luberon, Provence in more than a hectare of landscaped gardens. On a hillside the house enjoys beautiful views and is between the spectacular villages of Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Menerbes, Oppede and L'Isle sur la Sorgue. This is my permanent home and so reflects my eclectic taste in paintings, objets d'art, books and music. The house is comfortable and well equipped with a large sitting room and mezzanine, dining room, kitchen, two double bedrooms and a twin room all with en suite bathrooms. There is a laundry in a separate building in the grounds. A cleaner is provided for 6 hours per week and a gardener takes care of the grounds.

I am a doctor and only retired two months ago. I shall be travelling with my best friend and we want to spend some weeks in the centre of London to study English and live the life of Londoners.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The house is near a small village called St Panteleon. The nearest shops are in Gordes and Goult (approximately 2 km). Both villages have good butchers, grocers and restaurants.

My home is in the countryside with great walks accessible directly from the house. I run every morning for an hour and rarely see anyone else. The nearest neighbours are some distance away so the house and grounds enjoy absolute privacy. When I wrote this it was the middle of December and for the last week the sun has been shining and the sky is blue.
