“We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the secluded location of François and Marie’s home. It was the perfect place for us after months of hard work. The place has a special charm and we immediately felt at ease. The roofed patio with the gas grill is a highlight. We grilled exquisite veggies from the garden and enjoyed a nice glass of local wine. The region offers a diverse range of activities and places of interest. We explored the historic sites of Montpellier, Arles and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the natural beauty of the Pont du Hazard, we hiked to the top of Pic Saint-Loup, we met very nice local people at different wine festivals, we enjoyed some great bike tours in the open woodland nearby and in the nature conservation area of the Camargue where we watched flamingos and superbe sunrises, we visited the famous market of Sommières and we took some great swims in the ocean at Carnon and in the Hérault river. After a day out, we came back to our temporary hideaway and took care of chickens, cat and veggies what we enjoyed enormously. We also had some nice talks and a dinner with Marie’s father who lives nearby. François and Marie have been wonderful people to swap with. Very kind, open-hearted, reliable and helpful. They never hesitated to provide information about the different trips. Thank you very much for having made this swap real - despite the Covid situation! ”

François's reviews
As a host (9)“We had a fantastic stay in Francois and Marie's house. The views were absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed just sitting out on the veranda in the evenings, watching the sun go down and drinking a glass of wine from the near by estates. Day trips to the beach, local lakes or Montpellier were both really easy to make by car and very fun. Sebastian (1 yr old) really loved staying on the farm and especially loved feeding the chickens and going for walks on the nearby tracks. Chloe was our host while we were out there. She picked us up from the airport and gave us plenty of local hints and tips of what to do. This was our first time doing a house swap and Francois and Marie completely sold the idea to us and we will be doing these for many years to come. Overall genuinely lovely people and a thoroughly enjoyable time had by our family. Thank you Francois and Marie!”
“We had a wonderful time at this lovely, spacious house. Set in a quiet rural location, surrounded by vineyards, this house is the perfect place to getaway from it all. There are beautiful walks, and lots of fascinating places to visit and see nearby. Our three teenage children were never bored - the beach is 45 minutes away, and Montpellier (20 minutes) has enough life and action to keep everyone happy - a beautiful, vibrant city. It also has one of the best art galleries I have been to, and is generally a great place to visit - great bars, restaurants, architecture (fabulous!) and street life.”
“We really enjoyed this exchange, the house is lovely with great veg in the garden, and a very friendly cat and dog which were no work at all. Francois and Marie were easy to communicate with, and so helpful, lots of information, picked us up at the station, lovely lunch when we arrived, and their son took us back to the airport. This is a fantastic area, lots to do and see, highly recommended !”
“What a wonderful exchange with Marie and Francois. We arrived at their home the day before they left and it was a real pleasure to meet them. They are very kind and friendly people and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief time with them. We fell in love with their house and area - a lovely comfortable, clean, spacious home with everything you could need to have a relaxing time - surrounded by vineyards, plenty of outdoor space with vegetable garden and pool - and with so much to do and see nearby. Marie\'s father, Jean Pierre, lived nearby and was very helpful. They have a lovely dog (Charlie) and cat (Fifi) who were absolutely no problem to look after. Communication prior to and during the exchange was smooth and easy. There was lots of information left for us with suggestions on what to do and see. Overall the three weeks went by so quickly and we arrived home to a very clean house and a lovely thank you note. We would definitely recommend an exchange with Marie and Francois. Everything was just as you would want it to be - perfect.”
“We spent a truly wonderful 2 weeks in July 2014 in the beautiful home of Francois and Marie in Guzargues. The house and environs surpassed our expectations in every way - a comfortable and welcoming home; very private garden with pool and fresh produce to pick every day. A property of vineyards producing a delicious brew, endless forest trails directly accessible from the door for hiking and biking. A very central location for exploring the many delights of this region and of course the lovely playful Charlie the dog. Although we sadly didn't get the chance to meet Francois and Marie, we felt a great connection with them via email and skype. We highly recommend this property!”
“We spend three wonderful weeks at Marie`s and Francois`place in Guzargues. Surrounded by vineyards and a lovely garden, we had the opportunity to explore the Herault area with all its beautiful nature and interesting sights. We had the pleasure to meet our hosts and enjoyed a very warm welcome. Their home offered all you can wish for, for relaxed holidays. This was southern France from its best site; sun, cheese, wine, great beaches and green foothills. Thank you so much!”
“Surrounded by the wine fields of Domain Rocahlas, in the interesting area of Pic Saint Loup, we had a fantastic stay at François and Marie’s lovely house. Good walks in the surroundings, sandy beaches, canoeing on the Herault river, exploring the wine of Pic Saint Loup, medieval towns, and special the warm welcome by François and Marie and there family (and not to forget our god friend Athos), this has been one of our best home swaps. Warmly recommended by the Danish family, Jacob, Vibeke, Tobias, Malte, Lucas.”
