Neighbourhood

We are ideally situated for exploring the natural beauty of the Presqu'ile de Giens. A 10 minute walk from the house brings you to a coastal path that winds its way around a succession of bays and isolated creeks, with views upon the superb coastal wilderness of the Isles d'Or or Golden Islands (Porquerolles, Le Levant and Port Cros). We are within easy walking distance of the small fishing harbour of La Madrague, the village of Giens and the 4km long almannarre beach, with its warm and shallow water, renowned as a great kite surf and windsurfing site. Activities, such as Scuba diving, sea kayaking, sailing and fishing are all available in the area.
There are local buses which connect with the nearest large town, Hyères, although a car is recommended for venturing further afield.
