About our home

Our home is a one storey house built in 2000, it is clean and spacious. It has 3 bedrooms plus a study. There is a small kitchen with an adjoining dining room opening on a large terrace. The garden is about 1000 sq m. The home is inviting and comfortable to live in. It is situated in a totally closed housing estate in a small village (Irigny) where you can find everything needed (food restaurants shooping) not far away from Lyon (11km) . There's a cat that stays outside but she needs to be fed regularly.

More about us

  1. I'm Catherine, I'm an English teacher and I live on my own with my two children aged 14 and 16. I've done two home exchanges before and we all appreciated it. My children and I are most respectful of other people's houses. We love travelling and I want to take my kids to different places. I would love to go to London with but I'm also interested in going to the south of Spain for the summer holidays. We enjoy discovering historic places as well as reading on the beach ! And my daughter is very keen on shopping !

Neighbourhood

The place offers easy access to one of the biggest French city Lyon with its history, numerous museums and nice famous little restaurants. The old part of Lyon is worth seeing, full of old places beautiful shops and wonderful restaurants. It is not far from the regions of wine (Beaujolais, Bourgogne...). The surroundings of Lyon are full of great places to visit too, museums as well as parks and a lot of walking. About one hour up north you can reach the Alps mountains where there are beautiful walks and we can reach the Alps in nearly two hours. There is a lot to see and to visit in the region which offers quite a mixture of nature and cultural activities. The south of France is not very far either just as Switzerland.
