French 18th century château in Champagne region

“My family and I have done over 70 wonderful home exchanges but this one has surpassed every possible expectation. Chateau Isle sur-Marne is a magnificent property set in a vast expanse of parkland and woodland in the beautiful Marne region. Martine, its owner, has accompanied us for three years in the dream of bringing together in her mansion a group of friends of five different nationalities who, because of the pandemic, had had to postpone our meeting at the chateau twice in succession. Martine also welcomed us personally on the day of our arrival and showed us around her property, which is breathtakingly beautiful. We had the immense good fortune of a week of sunny days and we will never forget the light filtering through the infinite windows of the château. Whoever is lucky enough to be able to exchange with Martine is assured of a few days of absolute happiness. Thank you Martine from the bottom of our hearts.”

“Wow, what a Place seriously ... The chateau is the perfect getaway for a perfect holiday that offers you your privacy with sprawling lawns surrounded by a moat...we can cycle about exploring the beautiful areas ,have a picnic and come back to the inviting pool for a relaxing swim. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped for an appetising meal to be cooked to end a perfect evening. The Chateau gives you a heady mix of living with history with all the modern amenities. What hit me first was the grandeur of the Chateau, the grand staircase with each room being beautiful, with a unique design ... I was taken in by their exquisite beauty. And then I found my favourite ... the swimming pool... it was abs inviting.. so much so that’s the first place we ran to... and not to forget the outdoor poolside barbecue that we enjoyed immensely... the things to do and comforts of this place are a par above and apart......Our hosts could not have been nicer ! We had the most amazing swap with Martine at her beautiful chateau and would connect with anyone thinking about going here, it truly was that amazing, we're still pinching ourselves. Martine was super helpful throughout - including preparing notes for the trip and two beautiful and yummy cakes to welcome us at our arrival . Honestly, the pictures of the place don't do it justice... It is stunning in real life and we did not want to leave the it. We spent our days going to different towns in the Champagne region and enjoyed walking around the quaint villages which were amazing. Martine's housemaid welcomed us when we reached and showed us around. It was a pity that we could not meet Martine as she was on holiday but if we needed anything, we could message easily over WhatsApp anytime and be in touch. “Martine's chateau its just breathtaking. Evert room is cosy, its a bright and - even if its a chateau- not too big of a house, with amazing sleeping rooms a bg kitchen and space everywhere. The house has a warm and lovely feeling to it. The garden and the pool area are great in every single way. We spent 5 days and actually never left the property, because you don't have to. It has really everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We hopefully will come back. ”
