About our home

Built in the 80s, close to shops, within walking distance of the daily marché provençal (10 minutes), of the beach (30 minutes). It has a 30 m² terrasse with a BBQ, facing NW (you don't want to be facing south here), with a view on the harbour of Toulon and mountains behind. You sail across the bay (cheap public transport boat service) to the city centre of Toulon, with a bigger daily marché provençal. The city is converting to tourism, with attractions : museum, beaches, casino, restaurants, local seafood farmed locally hiking, cycling, scuba diving, swimming, sailing etc. Day excursions to Cannes, Nice, St Tropez, Marseille (the nearest big airport)

More about us

  1. living on my own (2 of my 5 grand kids and friend on the picture)

  2. I am a retired teacher, non smoker. I used to teach English. This is my first experience in home exchange, but I have already housesat successfully in New Zealand. I have travelled extensively on the five continents.

  3. I ended my career at the University of Toulon, attracted to the area by scuba diving and the quality of life in Provence.. My flat has no luxury, just the basic modern equipment. I bought the terrace with a view, and the flat that went with it. I do not live there all the time, as I travel a lot, and have another house in the North of France.
