Quercy style farmhouse with 3 bedroom holiday holiday accommodation attached. Modest, clean and comfortable accommodation giving large open plan kitchen/lounge opening to terrace. Double bedroom and bathroom on mezzanine which overlooks kitchen/lounge. Two more bedrooms downstairs with w.c. washroom. large shady barn with ping pong table. set in 5 acres of fruit orchards and meadows - where our horses graze.
We are a coupe - in our early fifties with two grown children and two still young andat home. We are very modest income bracket - I am a busy at home mum who looks after holiday gite and the D.I.Y jobs of house and grounds, ably assisted by my husband when he's home from his job in export and our 16 year old son when he's home from his agricultural school where is is farrier training. Our daughter is 12 years old. We have to go away in August but our exchange family can come when they want as we have other acommodation. Its beautiful here in late August/ September.
We are in the heart of the Quercy Bas part of South Western France. We are on the slopes which bask in sunshine from April to late October, surrounding by vineyards (chasselas) peaches, apricots and cherries. Down in the Garonne valley below are miles of pretty apple orchards. This is the north of the Cathar country with lots of medieval fortified villages, wonderful architecture, and beautiful countryside. Aveyron Gorges, Moissac, Cahors, rivers Tarn, Aveyron, Garonne and Lot all nearby. Pyrenees3 hours by car. Atlantic Coast 2.5 hours. Mediterranean 2.5 hours.Amazing medaeival city of Carcassonne 2 hours distant. Toulouse Airport 45 minutes by car.
