About our home

WE PREFER TO EXCHANGE WITH OTHER 2ND HOME OWNERS.

The entrance and car park of the farmhouse is a dazzling 300 m2 courtyard with a huge weeping willow in the middle. The courtyard is surrounded by numerous stables and is romantically lit by night. The house has 4 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, each of which has recently been furnished with 2 comfortable beds. 3 bathrooms. A living room with a fireplace and leather easy chairs. A kitchen with a sturdy antique dining table seating 10. Furthermore there is a comfortable separate room with satellite TV. The house is furnished with rustic antique furniture. Central heating is installed in all the rooms. At the back of the house you will find a large terrace (100 m2) and spacious garden with fruit trees (2000 m2).

WE PREFER TO EXCHANGE WITH OTHER 2ND HOME OWNERS.
We are an American-Dutch couple. We live, work and own a company in the Netherlands. Our farmhouse in Montcavrel is our second home and is ideal to entertain friends and relatives in a comfortable and hospitable style. Our first home is a spacious 4 bedroom/2 bathroom condominium at the 24th floor of luxury apartment building in Eindhoven in the south of Holland. We are willing to discuss the opportunity to exchange this apartment as well. The exchange period does not have to be simultaneous because we multiple homes. We would expect some careful communication and planning in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers and to see how best we can facilitate their stay.

The medieval village of Montcavrel with little over 300 inhabitants, 2 chateaux and a XIVth century church, is quietly set in de Vallee de la Course, part of the protected area called "Les Sept Vallees" (the seven valleys). Paris, Brussels and London (by boat crossing) can be reached in under 3 hours. There are many activities available in the surrounding area from country walks and signposted cycle routes to canoeing, horseback riding and incredible golf facilities; nine (!) 18 hole courses can be reached within one hour. The coastal region is known as the Opal coast. This stretch of coast between Calais and the River Somme can lay claim to having some of the best beaches in France with miles of unspoilt sand and endless horizons. At the same time this region has witnessed some of the most important events in European history, many of which are well documented in the countless churches, museums and memorials that are scattered across the landscape. Montreuil-sur-Mer, at 10 minutes from the house, is a medieval town with a choice of restaurants and open air markets on Saturdays and Thursdays. Le Touquet is a buzzing seaside resort at 15 minutes from the house with some of the best shopping in France, the many Parisians visitors love it!
