About our home

A small cosy apartment furnished with period furniture to match the location in Vieux Lille. The second floor is accessed by a lift, which has 3 adjacent private apartments. The 3 storey building is an attractive stone house surrounded by French Flemish town houses built over a period of several hundred years together with churches and buildings dating back to the 14th century.

More about us

My partner and I have a dance school and college in Bristol in the West of England. We have travelled extensively to Australia, the Far East and of course Europe. Kathy is a very busy teacher and so we have a very narrow window for overseas trips, namely during the school holidays. I get to spend more time in our property in Lille, which affords me some time to work at my computer.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Lille is the 4th largest city in France with an art gallery second only to the Louvre. Close to the Belgium border it is ideal for exploring the Flemish towns and cities. Paris is 2 hours drive, Brussels 2 hours and the German border a 4-hour drive. London is 1 hour 40 minutes by train. Many of the major First World War sites and cemeteries are within 1 hour's drive.
