About our home

Our home is an old languedocian "mas"; it is comfortable, clean & luminous. It has a well equiped kitchen with adjoining dining & living room and a terrace that overlooks a large fenced back yard (6000m2) that is private with a view of the neighbouring mountains and has many trees- among which generous fig, pear, apple, kiwi & cherry trees (for the sweet tooth), but also sun loving banana and palm trees, flowers and a garden. The garden is surrounded by a nice fresh mountain river. We love spending time in our home and garden and having friends over, it is warm and inviting.
Our cats appreciate the human company but live freely in the garden. Still, they will expect your feeding them daily and making friends with them. Wouldn't you?

Where is it?

Les Plans is a small residential place in a nice and quiet mountain valley, 4 km by the heart of the historical city of Lodève.
Ideally located as a touring base, our town offers easy access to the cities of Montpellier, Narbonne, Millau, Nîmes, Carcassonne and Arles in around an hour and the Mediterranean. Sandy seas beaches are at 45 minutes south by the highway (Agde, Sète).
(don't forget to visit the Larzac mountain, its mysterious Templar villages, and pay a visit the nearby astonishing Roqueredonde Tibetan temple and monastery, as well as to the city of Millau and its newly buit highest bridge in the world).

Local activities include a horse riding school, fishing, biking, pedestrian excursions (eg. Santiago de Compostella trail), cultural events (annual mediterranean poetry festival, famous fine arts exhibitions, natural and historical sight-seeing and the renown Lodeve saturday morning peasant market (offering delicious cheese, ham, wine, olives and olive oil, fruits...).

To see more of Lodève and its surronding, give a look to our friend David McEwen's home site:
