About our home

We live in Paris (listing and own a second home in the lovely town of Luneray, Normandy, a mere 5-minute drive to the beaches of the Côte d'Albâtre.

The house is 2,000 sq. feet over 3 floors, and boasts 5 bedrooms and 3,5 bathrooms. Remodelling will be completed early 2019 so the pictures don't do it justice yet!

On the ground floor is the living room with fireplace, comfy oversized couches and a formal dining table for 10. Several French windows and a conservatory open onto the landscaped garden. A corridor leads to a guest toilet and shower room.

The kitchen has all modern appliances and a breakfast nook, or kids dining space. It has a separate entrance from the garden and leads onto a utility room with washing machine and dryer.

The other aisle of the house boasts a den with ensuite bathroom (bath tub and separate shower). It is my husband's office but use it as a guest bedroom as the couch turns into a large double bed. The room has large windows and French windows that open up to another part of the garden.

A flight of stairs up is the first floor, with a kids bedroom (2 single beds, a teepee and plenty of toys and games), a guest bedroom, the master bedroom, a bathroom with bath tub and a separate toilet.

We don't have a TV but there's WiFi all through the house.

The garden is very large, with several areas to rest, dine and/or play. There's a kid area with a small log cabin and trampoline. We of course have a Weber BBQ to grill the fantastic fish and meat one can find at the local farmer's market!

The house is very secluded, in a small town which gives you access to all commodities but within a huge park that gives you complete privacy. There is a key code at the front porch meaning that it's also very secure -- even though the area is more than safe.

The house is a 2-hour drive from Paris and we’re happy to exchange cars. We have a 5-seater BMW SUV.

The nearest beaches are internationally renowned and beyond cute Veules-les-Roses, Quiberville, Saint-Aubin sur mer and Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer.

Fantastic farmers markets in Dieppe and Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer on Saturdays, and Luneray, which is the place to be on Sunday mornings.

Where is it?

Set in the picturesque little town of Luneray and close to all of its shops and amenities, our house stands on a beautiful landscaped garden of 43,000 sq. ft.

Luneray has everything: banks, supermarkets, florists, antiques, pizzerias, a wine bar, a fishmonger, a delicatessen, two butchers, two bakeries (one them with the best wild strawberries tart ever, if you happen to visit during the summer), and, icing on the cake, the best Sunday farmers' market in the area.

The nearest beaches are Quiberville and Sainte-Marguerite (7' drive), world-renowned Veules-les-Roses -- one of France's loveliest villages (10' drive), Saint-Aubin sur Mer (8' drive)...

Dieppe is a 15-drive for the UK ferry and national railway. It's also a lovely and vibrant city with a great farmers' market on Saturday mornings. Veules-les-Roses is beyond cutness and offers a wide range of restaurants, tea rooms, local shops and beaches. Delicious local oysters are sold right on the beach, sames as in Quiberville.
