I live on the 4th floor - without lift - of a XVIIIth century building in a UNESCO World Heritage site: Le Vieux Lyon, one of the largest Renaissance area in Europe. There are two entries to the building. It is one of Lyons' features: Les traboules. They are hidden passageways which crosses through one or more buildings, connecting one street to another.
The flat is composed of a large living room, a small kitchen, overlooking a river and a bedroom giving on to a very quiet courtyard. The bathroom and the toilets are separated.
My name is Patricia, I’m 48 years old and I work as a High School teacher.
I love going out with friends, going to the movies, listening to music, and reading books. I love art too.
I have 2 cats that would probably stay home if you decided on a swap. However, if you wanted to go on a few days’ trip, I could always ask a neighbor or a friend to come and look after them while you are away.
I’m really looking forward to doing an exchange and do know that I will treat your house with much care.
Lyon is the third largest city in France, well known for being THE place where the best traditional French cuisine can be found. It is a very pleasant city because of its historic heritage, its many parks and promenades along the two rivers as well as its vibrant cultural scene.
Ideally located, it is close to the Beaujolais and Burgundy wine countries, not far either from the Venice of the Alps, Annecy.
I live at 5 minutes from the Cathedral Saint Jean in "le Vieux Lyon" and at walking distance from all the main historic sites and museums. The location is also convenient because there are a lot of local shops in the area and a market on the other side of "la passerelle" every other day.
