About our home

As journalist (in decoration) I fell in love with this apartment before I bought it, 3 years ago. My friend (Jean, he's designer) and me renovated it totally. This is a sunny top flat (7th and last floor), with beautiful view on the roofs, Notre-Dame de la Garde, the Palais Longchamp and his gardens, the hills (Sainte-Baume, Garlaban) and the sea (Frioul Islands), 2 large terraces (25 m2 each), 2 nice balconies and all commodities. Because it's very open to the air with large windows and north/south exposure, it's never hot. It's also very quiet: the street is calm and there are private gardens on the balconies's side.

More about us

  1. We like design, art, litterature, music... so Marseille and Provence are very interesting for us (a lot of famous and less famous Festivals) and, we hope, for you !

We're very busy but would like to exchange home for week-ends in Europe, or for one/two weeks in Europe or elsewhere. Jean knows very well Italy, and I've also enjoy travelling in Vietnam, north Africa, Cap Vert, India, New York...
This year, in may or maybe in late september (depends on your disponibilities), I'ld like to offer Jean the opportunity to discover New York for his birthday !!!

Ah, I have to say something about our cat. Kebra is a very quiet one (15 years old), very friendly too... It'ld be nice if you could give him his food. But if you can't, we'll find him another place to stay.

Where is it?

We are very urban (I lived in Paris and Lyon) but we like so much the landscape! So, I loved immediatly this apartment because of its location in town center (5 mn walk from shops and markets, 20 mn walk from vieux-port) and, in the same time, the terraces, its quiet neighbourhood (Marseille is a popular town, but people are nice) and the sea, the beaches in the town ut also the famous callanques: we enjoy swimming and kayak very much. In Marseille, we walk or use the scooter.
I work near Aix en Provence and travel a lot in Provence, so I can say that we're very well located: 10 mn walk from the TGV (Gare Saint-Charles) and 5 mn with car from the mainroads to Aix en Provence (20 mn), Camargue (45 mn), Luberon (45 mn), Toulon (45 mn), Côte d'Azur (Nice 2 hours)...
