Typical and pittoresque house downtown Marseille, 200m from sea

In the heart of Provence, 2600 years old Marseille has a privileged situation: Ideally located as a touring base, our house offers easy access to the center of Marseille in around 10 minutes by car or by bus (the bus stop is 200m from our front door). Our house is located in one of the most appreciated area of Marseille : a remote small typical fishing pier : The Vallon des Auffes. It's a very quiet but still close to the historical center of Marseille and its famous spots such as Notre Dame de la Garde, le Vieux Port, le Panier..., and the extraordinary Calanques of Marseille and Cassis (hiking, climbing,...). Situated in the warm and sunny Provence, marseille is at a three hours train ride from Paris (fast train TGV), and 1 to 2 hours car ride from famous French sites: the Riviera, Aix en Provence, the Luberon, the Camargue, Avignon, Arles... This part of France is appreciated for its wine and gastronomy. Marseille as the second largest city of France facing Africa and the beautifull french island of Corsica is an ideal starting-point from which to discover the beautiful villages and historic traditions of Provence.
