About our home

Terrace house with spectacular views from all levels south to the snow capped Pyrenees. Comfortable family spaces with 3 bedrooms. On four levels plus a secluded rear courtyard, south facing with Pyrenees views. In a quiet location with a shared car park plus garden out front. Close to centre of town and all conveniences. Shops, garage, post office, patisserie, restaurants, bar, communal pool.

Ideally located to visit all local attractions. Markets of Bram, Mirepoix, Castelnaudary, Revel. The 12thC world heritage Citadel in Carcassonne is 15 minutes away (fit in with fabulous Saturday morning market in town square). There are Cathar ruins to explore plus walks in the Pyrenees an hours drive away near Foix. Andorra is 3 hours by car and Barcelona 4 (or 3 by train from Carcassonne). The Mediterranean resort town of Sete is 2 hours to the East. There are regular flights to and from Toulouse which is one hour by car. (Carcassonne also has an airport with limited services eg direct flights to and from Stanstead in London). Other places of interest a few hours drive away are the Catalan speaking town of Perpignan and keep driving to the spectacular and historic Mediterranean village of Collioure to see where Picasso painted some of his early works.

  3. We love visiting historical, interesting places. We enjoy visits to markets, museums and cultural precincts. We also like to catch up with our children who live and work in Bristol.

Where is it?


Montreal has all conveniences, a small mini-mart, post office, patisserie, petrol station, restaurants and communal swimming pool. Its only 15 minutes to famous Carcassonne. Also many market towns nearby including Bram, Mirepoix, Revel, Castelnaudary. The house is a classic end of terrace with fabulous views south to the snow capped Pyrenees and north to famous St Vincente Collegiate Church.

Lots of Cathar ruins to visit, towns with historic precincts, markets ambience. Carcassonne a must for a days visit particularly saturday when the market in the square is open, then visit the citidel. Lots of other local chateaus and market town, Pyrenees mountain hikes near Foix.
