Our home is comfortable and spacious in a quiet place in a little town. There are 2 rooms with a double bed and 3 rooms with a single bed.
The kitchen has all you need to cook or you can use the barbecue outside and eat as well inside or outside. There is a room with the computer (and Internet), a TV room with sofas and a fireplace, and a living room with sofas and a big table.
In the garden, you can rest on chairs or play table tennis.
Our cat will also be there and just has to be fed.
Michel and I are working as manager and social helper and we have 2 sons (17 an 16) and a daughter (13). We all really like to travel and discover other ways of living. We already travelled in several countries, by our own or by visiting people we know. It is our first time as home exchangers but we know several friends who enjoyed it. We appreciate to live as the people of the country we visit and give the same opportunity to others.
Our city Mordelles is 15km far from Rennes (Capital of Brittany), where you can visit Middle Age streets and its famous Saturday market and find indoor swimming pools and theatre. In Mordelles you can buy whatever you need in the supermarket or at the boulangerie.
There are also some good restaurants around, where you can eat traditional Britain âcrepesâ or French cooking or seafood.
You can also hike in famous âBroceliandeâ (King Arthur) forest (very near) or along the seaside (about 1 hour far).
There are a lot of local traditional or musical feasts in summer in villages around.
About one hour far by car, you can visit some other Medieval places like Dinan, Vitré or Fougeres or go to the seaside visit nice places like St Malo (and its big aquarium) or le Mont-Saint-Michel.
If you want to go further, you are 2 hours far from south Brittany and its nice beaches and islands (like Belle-Ile or Groix) or northern Brittany and its âpink rocks coastâ in Perros Guirec.
3 hours far from there are the âChateaux de la Loireâ which may be a 2 days trip.
If you take TGV train in Rennes, you also can be in the heart of Paris in 2 hours.
