About our home

We were fortunate enough to buy our ski apartment in Morzine in 2015. Like lots of ski apartments it hadn’t been loved for a few years so we renovated most of it to make it more modern but still with an alpine twist. It is 48m2 and has one double bedroom, one small bunk room (internal bedroom) and a sofa bed in the living room (the sofa bed does sleep two people but it’s a squeeze. There is another extra bed that you can use but again the apartment might be better suited to 5 people). There is a separate kitchen, bathroom and large balcony (south west facing). We are on the top floor (NO lift and on 3rd floor) so the views are stunning. In the building there is a games room with table football and table tennis. There is no WiFi (we just use our phones!). We are approximately 1 KM from the centre of Morzine but on a free bus route which stops at the end of the driveway (3 mins on a bus). Bars and restaurants on route into town so if you don’t want to walk the kilometer you don’t have too (closest bar is about a 7 min walk). Ski lift in centre of town too. We love Morzine for the 600+ km of skiing it offers but also because it’s equally as amazing in the summer with plenty to do to keep you entertained. In the summer, Morzine becomes a popular mountain and road biking area. It also caters for people who love nature and any type of mountain summer sports and activities.

Where is it?

Morzine is stunning. Fun in the summer and the winter. The apartment is set back off the main road into town. A lovely (flat) walk into town takes about 15 mins. On route you will find some bars and restaurants before you hit town. La chaudanne and La Ferme de la Fruitiere restaurants are about a 10 min walk and are some of the best restaurants in town. The super Morzine chair lift is just of the main road about a 15 min walk away but there is a regular free bus in the winter to get you there that take 3 mins. On the other side of town you can get to the pleney lift and again the bus takes you there too, adding another couple of mins to your journey. Morzine is a large town in the Alps so has most facilities you need. In the summer, there is tons of cycling and outdoor pursuits.
