“We had a great three weeks in this cosy and warm house. Quiet area with beautiful nature, beaches and vineyards and yet close to Narbonne, Béziers, Carcassonne. The family is very friendly!”

About our home
Nice, sunny, easy going chalet on Stilts with all modern comfort has become our home after years of travelling and sailing around the world. It's an unpretentious house with woodenfloors to invite you to walk barefoot and enjoy a glass of vin rouge on our terrasse or in the garden under a huge 100 year old olivetree. We love fleemarkets and bits and pieces of furniture have found a second life. It's an ideal vacation for a family with lively kids or anyone interested in French culture to relax around the house, on the beach, on the colourful markets nearby or go inland to admire a stunning landscape. Salles- D'Aude is a typical village in southern France between two charming cities, Narbonne and Béziers, a 15 mns drive by car. We live in a quiet part of the village of 2000 inhabitants, the baker, a few shops, the Italian take away are just 2 mns on foot down the road, the wine coop. a 10 mns stroll, Intermarché at the entrance of the village. The landscape is very lush and green due to the biggest wine growing area in the whole of the country and wherever you go, you can't get away from it!

Elke's reviews
As a host (2)“Have just returned from three great weeks in this lovely warm inviting house. The house is very well located just ten minutes drive from many beaches and very close to the Canal du Midi as well as just a ten minute drive to either Narbonne or Beziers. It is about an hour from Perpignan, Montpelier and Carcassonnce and less than two hours to the Spanish border. Although we never met Elke, Michel, Maxie or Julien (we did waved to each other at the airport) they made us feel very welcome and did their best to make us feel at home. I would highly recommend this house as an exchange.”
