Beautiful Hausmannian building (1912) with concierge. Spacious flat with 4 rooms and volted ceilings : 2 large bedrooms (both with double beds, the larger of the 2 bedrooms also has a single sofabed in it), a luminous dining room that connects to the livingroom. The livingroom has 2 sofabeds that open into double beds, a television, piano and stero sound system. There are 2 sets of French doors, which opens from the entree into the livingroom and another into the dining room. The dining table seats 8, easily. I have a medium sized kitchen, that has a small counter for 2 to eat at. The kitchen is fully equiped with quality appliances.... for those who enjoy a good café, I have a Nespresso machine. The bathroom is quite large so there is the washer/dryer machine, as well as a hanging area for the delicate clothing.
The style throughout the flat is along the lines of simple barococo.
Beautiful, quaint residental neighborhood.... yet steps from the main subway line that runs through Paris, as well as several bus lines (one even takes you directly to the Eiffel tower ! Another to the popular shopping area of Paris). Around the corner is a street filled with a variety of shops, typical French cafes, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. There's even a farmer's market 3 days a week at the commons area in front of some of these shops. About 5 minutes up the street are 4 tennis courts. And not even 10 minutes, also by foot, is a gorgeous town pool that has 4 basins adapted for different ages. There's even a jacuzzi and slide in two different pools that are inside and one basin goes outside for the warmer months.
Finally, located nearby is the American and British hospitals of Paris. So in the event of an emergency, English is spoken at these hospitals and I've been told that they are both very well equiped.
I'm a single professional and parent. Shortly, I'll will be returning to school to attend a law-MBA degree program. And ,in the meantime, my child is finishing high school here, before returning to the States to attend an American university.
We enjoy spending time with our family and friends and are fortunate enough to have one and/or the other in various countries around the world.... So we enjoy traveling to them and getting to know other cultures. We are both quite active in sports - tennis, ballet, swimming, skiing....to name a few. But we also like sitting back and relaxing listening to music, watching a film or a good read.
We do have two shy, but friendly siemese cats, who can either be lodged at a friends place or stay at home and be taken care of by you or our concierge.
I like to keep my home very tidy, however, I would not be comfortable having someone with allergies to cats staying here.
I speak English and French, whereas my child speaks English, French, German and Spanish.
