About our home

The house is typical French Provence in its appearance and interior. It is located in the oak and pine tree woods surrounding the village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup. Our visitors usually tell us that we are privileged.

Four bedrooms comfortably sleep seven. Two of the rooms fit the concept of teenager territory. But do not get alarmed: the vast master bedroom is much more classical, as is the guest room which also hosts bookshelves and a computer with high speed Internet access.

This is our permanent home, and equipment is what one would expect. For the rest, let’s let the pictures speak.

More about us

  1. Annick has graduated as a biologist and has chosen to focus on the children and on enjoying the charms of the life on the Riviera. Zsolt holds a degree in geology, but has been working for over twenty years as a computer and network engineer. We both grew up in Brussels (Belgium), and after marrying in Switzerland, have spent a couple years successively in Frankfurt (Germany) and Raleigh (NC) before settling down in Southern France thirteen years ago.

Our two teenagers Laure (sixteen) and Arnaud (thirteen) have come to enrich our life along the path. They are the lively kind, no doubt about that, and at the same time amazingly responsible.

Where is it?

Last property at the end of the road, the house has no direct neighbours. If having the crickets as the main source of sound around is your concept of vacation, this is the place.

In our case, quiet does not mean remote, though. The centre of the village and its small shops are only five minutes drive away. Another ten minutes will take you to the town of Vence, itself close to the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. City of Nice is forty-five, Cannes an hour. Distances to attractive beaches range from thirty minutes to an hour. And within fifteen minutes, you are entering the mountain area where your walks will take you through panoramic views to the coastline.
