About our home

Our house which were built in the 30's is very typical of the ancient Menilmontant village, which is now 20th district of Paris (north east of the city). We've bought it ten years ago and we have renewed all the rooms. It's a 3 floors house with a garden and a cellar. We offer three bedrooms all with double beds, a large living room with sofa, a large kitchen opened on a lighty veranda where all the family can eat and, of course, all the sanitaries comfort.

More about us

  1. We are Servane and Roland a married couple with twin 19th's daughters. We are 44 and 49 years old. Servane is film documentalist and painter and I am a TV documentaries films director, photographer and drawer. We enjoy travelling but we have not done a home exchange before. We really would try what sounds and realize at least an old dream: visiting New York, USA and south america, having time to do that and allow someone to realize it's "living in Paris"...

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Situated in a picturesque area on the highest part of Paris, not far from the beautiful garden of the Buttes Chaumont very close to the famous Pere Lachaise cemetary. Many artists live around, in small houses with gardens like ours. It is one of the most typical "quartiers" of Paris. French and foreign cuisines around, opened food markets fourth a week, food shops all around. The neighbourhoud is very calm, the street where the house is situated is a small one with few cars passing. There is a very friendly ambiance with the neighbouring most of them living in such houses. The closer subway station is 5 minutes walking from the house and the line is direct to chatelet station center of the city (10/15 minutes travelling).
