“Denis was a very helpful host. Our communication was clear and comprehensive. The neighborhood is very convenient for all kinds of shopping and bus and metro lines are close. The apartment was small but efficient and comfortable. The terrace has a wonderful view of Paris since it is on the 9th floor. ”

“It’s hard to put into words just how amazing our stay in Denis’ apartment was. We’re discovering different parts of Paris, and the 14th Arrondissement, where Denis lives, now tops our list of favourite areas. My wife and I did a points swap with Denis. My work is primarily on line, so all I needed was fast and reliable wifi and a desk to work from for a few weeks. My wife is a little more picky, wanting good transportation links, comfortable grocery shopping and a nice area to explore. His apartment is amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. It is a newly refurbished penthouse, full of the character representative of Denis’ interesting and global experiences. The private roof terrace has lots of plants, including berries that you can pluck straight from the bush to eat, and picturesque views across the rooftops central Paris. Those views incorporate the Eiffel Tower to the east and Montmartre to the north, as well as a host of other beautiful buildings. His street is adorned with fabulous boulangeries, restaurants, 3 or 4 grocery stores and a host of other interesting little stores, as well as the market twice a week. You’d think it was the local high street yet, because there is limited parking, it’s not a busy street. The entrance to the Metro is literally 2 minutes’ walk away and the surrounding area has lots more Brasseries and shops. We had the pleasure of meeting Denis, the day that we left. What an interesting and accommodating guy. I’d highly recommend a swap with Denis. Great Guy, Great Apartment and a Great Area. What more could one want?! ”

“Great experience! Denis is a perfect host, very kind and helpful. Communication with him was very easy and I got very quick responses before and during our stay (we were three people). Warm welcome in the house where everything was illustrated with great detail. Denis’ house is beautiful with fully equipped kitchen and great facilities (the underfloor heating keeps the flat pleasantly warm). Great position in a very nice area with a grocery next to the building and many boulangeries/cafés/brasseries around. We used the metro station Mouton Duvernet at 150 mt from the house for access to line 4 (and then access to line 1), but the metro station Denfert Rochereau (5 minutes walking further) is also very comfortable for connections to line 6 and the RER which takes you straight to Paris airport CDG. It was a point-based swap, but I would love to reciprocate Denis’ kindness and generosity by hosting him in my house in Italy. Thank you once again Denis!”

“What a wonderful home and a wonderful host. Denis was so kind and helpful. His home was clean and plenty of space for my 7 year old, my teenager, her friend and myself. Denis is in a very clean, safe neighborhood with everything you need nearby. The grocery store is two doors away, the metro is half a block walk. Lots of little restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Just a few stops to Notre Dame, and very easy to get to all of the key spots to hit. Our favorite thing was eating dinner on his huge balcony/patio and watching the Eiffel Tower light show in the distance. My daughter also loved finding fresh strawberries in his patio garden. It was very hard to find a swap in Paris before the schools let out. BIG thank you to Denis for sharing his home with us! Come see us in Los Angeles any time!”

“Location perfect. Metro 100m away to get to all the best places in minutes; supermarkets on doorstep; restaurants and shops all around. The 9th floor apartment had brilliant views over Paris and was very comfy. Denis communicated well, met us at the designated time and showed us how everything operated. The decor is a bit dated, but the bathroom with washing machine is great. The toilet door wouldn’t close and needs fixing. A haspy accident and huge bonus is the public swimming pool a 2 minute walk away where i could swim my laps early in the morning to leave the rest of the day for sights. But the icing on the cake was the pop up market Tuesday/Saturday in the little square; the local produce mall where the locals go and the Saturday flea market. A real village feel and it gave us a local experience. We would happily stay again!”
