About our home

Our apartment is 128 m² (1378 sq ft). It is very luminous.
Two bedrooms have a view on the back of the building. They are very calm. The sofa in the living room is a sofa-bed, so 2 more people can sleep in the appartment.
It is a third floor apartment, with elevator. The building is a hausmanian construction with bow windows and high ceilings; it has 6 floors.
The kitchen is big enough for four people to have breakfast (or a snack) in it.
There are a bathroom and seperated closet, and an ensuite bathroom.
There also is a piano.
The flat is very quiet, there are only 2 appartments per floor.

More about us

  1. We are a married couple with two children aged 19 and 22.
I am a headmaster and my husband who had a restaurant near l'Arc de Triomphe, is now retired. Last year my husband, our daughter and I swapped our flat with people from New Jersey, their neibourghs were very welcoming and we spend more than 2 excellent weeks. We really felt we lived like americans do.
I was housekeeper in palace 15 years ago and be assured we'll take care of your home as it was ours.

Neighbourhood

Our flat is located inside Paris.
It is in the area of the Batignolles, a quiet but lively family district, between Montmartre and the Arc de Triomphe.
Several parks are around, the biggest being the Parc Monceau where you can run or bring your children to playground.
There are many small restaurants and shops around. Most of the restaurants are not very expensive and have outside terrace. There is a beautiful covered food market open every day and sunday morning, several bakeries, ...
A swimming pool with solarium is 2 bustops away (10 min walk).
The bus to the Opéra, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, Hotel de Ville, ...are direct lines and the stops are from 1 to 3 minutes from the appartment. The nearest metro station isn't even 5 minutes away !
