About our home

Our studio flat is located in the very centre of Paris, on the top floor of a 5-floor building with NO lift/elevator. It is small but well equipped and comfortable. As it overlooks the courtyard, it is very quiet and you can sleep with the windows open in summer. It sleeps a single person or a couple as there is only one double bed (queen size). Please note that it is a mezzanine bed ("bedup" type, cf. photo).

More about us

  1. I am an engineer working in the field of renewable energy and sustainable development, and my wife is a teacher. We are in our early 40s. We live in Lyon. We love travelling and have already successfully exchanged with London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Saint-Raphael and Cape Town. We are quite flexible with exchange dates as this studio flat is our second home where we mainly stay when we are in Paris for work.

Where is it?

The studio is in the south of the 10th district of Paris, close to place de la Republique and Porte Saint-Martin. It is located in the trendy multicultural area of "Canal Saint-Martin" with its nice cafes, restaurants and small shops. It is easily accessible by public transports (5 different metro lines nearby) but you can just walk almost anywhere : 10mn to the main railway stations of Gare de l'Est & Gare du Nord (Eurostar terminal); Beaubourg-Centre Pompidou is about 15mn on foot, Notre-Dame Cathedral or Le Louvre Museum about 20mn. Direct bus or metro from/to Gare de Lyon or Quai de la Rapee.
