Cosy 19th century flat in residential district

“This place is utterly charming and I loved it. Authentic French antique style. Stunning! Thank you to my host who was also charming and very helpful. Only thing I could fault was shower door doesn’t open all the way and I had no instructions except internet on how to work awesome new stove top but couldn’t get it going. I walked everywhere from here or caught the metro (don’t call it a train). Fond memories forever of Paris because of this. Beautiful apartment. ***************************************************Host's response: Helen was the perfect visitor, curious, quiet and pleasant. I wanted to thank her for these observations. Since she came I have placed a note by the burner to explain the maneuvers (I agree this is a little high tech !) and what is what. Actually, other visitors had the same issue and called me up. “Unbelievably noisy place, sitting on a top of a busy cafe with no (zero) sound deadening, and in which half of what you see on picture is missing (coffee table, chairs, tv, all gone...). To make matters worse, the place upstairs was being renovated, which made it impossible to concentrate on any kind of work (or even rest). When contacted, the owner kindly proposed me to... leave. Ps : NO WIFI ----------LHS- Host's Response---------- The apartment is a second floor unit located on a quiet,airy and residential street. There is a small typical French bistro in the same building block which serves meals, at noon and in the evening. You can easily see the restaurant on google maps, it is no secret. It has been at this same location of Eglise d’Auteuil for the last 80 years and is renowned in the area. I am surprised Stephane just discovered it since he himself owns an apartment the next street over. I certainly understand the frustration with the noise caused by the renovation of the flat upstairs. It is quite unfortunate, that the new owner did not warn the condo association ahead of time. Unfortunately, I had no control on this timing”
