We are interested in exchanging our flat in the 17th district of Paris subway station "Pereire" between December 30, 2008 and January 6, 2009. We will be willing to exchange our apartment during a different time period if you are in Paris on different dates, but we will specifically be in NY between December 30 and January 6.
It is on the 4th floor of late 19th century building. It's a duplex loft, about 110 square metres (1,183 square feet). The extremely spacious living room leads into an open kitchen. What used to be an artist's studio has now been transformed into the second floor of the loft, so the cieling is extremely high. The second floor looks over the first floor, so it is NOT suitable for small children. Each bedroom (one upstairs and one downstairs) has its own shower and toilet.
We hope to exchange it for an apartment or house of similar standing with two bedrooms in New York City (preferably in Chelsea, SoHo, Greetwich Village, or the Meat Packing District)
Please contact me if you would like further information.
Hope to hear from you soon!
We are a professional couple of men. We work in insurance and own our own firm. We like the finer things in life and travelling. People describe us easy-going and fun. We're very close to our families and friends. We're travelling to New York with another couple that is also very friendly. We're very respectful of other people and their homes, and we hope to swap homes with people who are as respectful as we are.
We are in the western part of Paris' 17th district, so it's a very good neighbourhood. You won't be too far away from the Champs Elysée and the Arch of Triumph. The shopping is great and so is the nightlife. Paris is not as big as New York, so you'll see that the subway system connects you to all points of interest, such as museums and monuments. Furthermore, there are many great restaurants in this neighbourhood, so you're get a great taste of Paris' fine cuisine.
