This one bedroom, roughly 450 sq.foot apartment is on the top floor of a 19th century building. The large east-facing windows let in a lot of light in the salon and kitchen, and the two balconies provide views of the butte Montmartre and the Eiffel tower. The bedroom has one double bed and a view of the Montparnasse Tower. It is very close to two major metro lines, the 12 and the 6, and several bus lines. Hard wood floors. Skylight in the entry. Brand new heater.
The apartment is located in a very quiet and calm part of the 15th arrondissement, but walking distance from the animated and historic Montparnasse neighborhood, les Invalides, and the shopping on Rue de Rennes. Several cinemas and theatres are also within walking distance, in addition to some small museums (the museum of Montparnasse, the cryptes of Paris, etc.). On the same street as the apartment there is an Italien restaurant, a moderately priced French restaurent, a more expensive French restaurant, and a crepe shop. There are 3 boulangeries (bread shops) and a 3 grocery stores very close to the apartment building. On Saturdays the street market is a 5 minute walk away. For a weekend getaway, the train station Montparnasse, which is 2 minutes away, has trains going to Brittany, Normandy, and the south-west of France.
We are a French medical intern and an American geography student at the Sorbonne. We love to travel and explore new places. We both have internships in New York this summer, and we are looking to swap our apartment for one in the City for either July or August, or if possible the whole summer.
